The best 55-inch TVs of 2021 for value for money
2.-Samsung QLED 4K 2020 55Q80T - 55 Smart Smart TV with 4K UHD Resolution

- Artificial Intelligence 4K and HDR 10+
- Active Voice Amplifier (AVA) the TV adjusts the volume and clarity of the dialogue
- Direct full array hdr 1500 with brightness up to 1500 nits
- Voice Assistants (Bixby, Google Assistant or Alexa)
- Ots (object tracking sound) thanks to its 6 speakers and artificial intelligence, the sound is reproduced only in the exact place where the action occurs
- Ambient Mode + (camouflages the TV against the wall), One Remote Control
We stick with this part of the Samsung range because they add enough without raising the price of the TV too much. If you switch to the Q70T models, you already start to miss quite interesting things and they do not inform you of the brightness of the TV.
The OTS sound is really well achieved, the 4K image is sharp, the HDR is vibrant and the image does not show any “lag”. The design is average but not out of place.
The large amount of advertising they offer in the TV menus is a bit irritating (it can be blocked via DNS or directly on the router). The screen does not support Samsung’s anti-glare, so stay away from bright lights. It does not have Dolby Vision.
2.-LG OLED55CX-ALEXA 2020 - Smart TV 4K OLED

- Compatible with 100% HDR formats
- 4K OLED 139 cm (55″) with Artificial Intelligence
- Dolby Vision / ATMOS sound
- Webos 5.0 smart tv operating system
- 14 Bit Intelligent 4K α9 Gen3 Processor with Integrated Deep Learning
LG’s mid-range to power. The best 4K OLED entry TV. Spectacular what this TV offers. An OLED TV with an excellent 4K image, spectacular to use for gaming (it is compatible with 4K / 120Hz, something that the PS5 or Xbox Series X needs and compatible with HDR Gaming Interest Group) … and much cheaper than the C9 of the year previous.
The design remains excellent, the operating system continues to perform very well (and has AI capabilities), and the upscaling is responsive. It has 4 HDMI 2.1 ports. The sound responds but is not spectacular.
The colors it offers are deep and the contrast tremendous. The depth of the blacks is spectacular and it is brighter than the C9 models (although it is not the brightest OLED TV). It has TruMotion, Cinema Clear and Dolby Vision.
3.-Sony KD-55XH9505 – Televisor 55″ 4K Ultra HD HDR Full Array LED con Android TV

- Televisor 55″ 4K Ultra HD HDR Full Array LED
- Con X-Motion Clarity, 4K HDR Processor X1
- Pantalla TRILUMINOS, X-tended Dynamic Range Pro
- Super Bit Mapping HDR y Object-based HDR remaster
- Sonido multidimensional con S-Force Front Surround
- It has voice assistants.
- SO Android 9.0 Pie
- Con 4 HDMI y 3 USB
The good thing about this model is that it has 4K HDR Processor X1, HDR 10, hybrid Log range and Dolby Vision …
It offers excellent contrast, an incredible color gamut, and surprisingly good sound with multi-dimensional sound with S-Force Front Surround.
For what it offers, its price quality is tremendous: powerful sound, HDR that really reaches you … but it does not have HDR10 + and it lacks some things for next-generation gaming such as 4K 120 fps, Automatic Low Latency Mode or support for Variable Refresh Rate.
4.-Hisense ULED 2020 55U71QF - Smart TV 55 ″ 4K Resolution

- Quantum Dot technology for the best color
- Compatible with all HDR formats; Dolby Vision, HDR10 +, HDR10, HLG
- Panel Full Array Local Dimming
- 700 nights of brightness
- Dual speaker system with Dolby Atmos sound
- Vidaa U 4.0 operating system + voice control with Alexa
- Bluetooth and WIFI connectivity
Hisense does not disappoint any year with its low-cost, high-performance models. And this 55 ″ model with a central pen is cheap and has very good features, as well as a great image and decent sound.
And for a few years now, they have included the Alexa voice assistant in their functionalities and many apps in their OS: Prime video, Netflix, Youtube, DAZN, or RAKUTEN TV … although it doesn’t have HBO or Disney + (search the internet for how to install new apps).
The design is ultra thin, the remote comes with a microphone and is compatible with Dolby Vision, HDR10 +, HDR10 or HLG and offers good color thanks to Quantum Dot Technology. The brightness reaches 700 nit, which is not bad at all.
It has good shine, bold and deep dark colors. Rescaling works very well. The OS is the worst of the TV compared to LG or Samsung … it is its main drawback. You may not be able to install some streaming apps.
5.-Samsung UHD 2020 55TU8005 – Smart TV de 55″ 4K, HDR 10+, Crystal Display

- 55 ″ Smart TV with 4K resolution and HDR 10+,
- With PurColor, Intelligent Sound, One Remote Control Function and Compatible Voice Assistants
Entry-level Samsung 55 ″ SmartTV, which means its price is laughable, but you have to know that it doesn’t have Samsung’s best technology.
It is available in various sizes. It also has gaming functions: Game Enhancer, which optimizes your screen to eliminate lag. It has a good viewing angle, few reflections, and decent sound for a TV that costs less than 600 euros. The processor is not very powerful, so do not ask for many things.
This model and the one from Hisense are two of the best cheap TVs of the year.
6.-Samsung 55NU7026 - Smart TV 4K UHD de 55 ″

- 55 U 4K UHD TV with HDR 10+
- Dolby Digital Plus - 20W Sound Output
- Smart Remote TM1240A (included)
The cheapest TV of the selection. It includes a basic command of the brand and the right quality for the price it has. So it is perfect if you know what you are buying.
It doesn’t have Bluetooth, the HDMI connections are just right (2), and the image quality can’t be compared to the brand’s high-end, but it’s probably more than enough for most. Evaluate if you want to spend more than 1000 euros on a TV, otherwise … this is your model.
7.-Philips 55OLED855 / 12 - Smart TV OLED 4K UHD TV of 55 pulgadas

- 55-inch 4K OLED TV with 3-sided Ambilight technology
- Powered by P5 Engine AI algorithm: lifelike details, vivid colors and smooth movements
- Con HDR 10+
- Android TV with voice assistant (Google and Alexa)
- Dolby Vision/Atmos
- 50 W sound power
- Conectividad 2 x USB, 4 x HDMI
We do not put it higher in the selection because it is a bit pricey, but it more than delivers in every way: The Ambilight gives it that special touch, the AI-controlled colors are great and the sound is sufficient (better than most models). ), although it could be a bit more powerful.
The good thing about having an OLED panel on your TV is that the colors are vibrant and the contrast is very high. The TV lag could be even a little better (for video games).
8.-Samsung QLED 4K 2020 55Q60T - 55 Smart Smart TV with 4K UHD Resolution

- QLED TV with quantum dot: inorganic technology that reproduces 100% of the color volume at any level of brightness
- 4k artificial intelligence: capable of improving the image and sound to 4k quality in real time thanks to the samsung processor
- Hdr 10+: hdr technology creates deeper blacks and enhances the level of detail in every scene
- Intelligent sound: adjusts the sound by detecting variations, adapting to the type of scene thanks to intelligence
- Multi view: allows you to see the screen of your smartphone on the TV while playing the content on it
- Voice assistants: access your favorite content through the voice assistants built into your TV. You can talk to Alexa on your device.
- Ambient mode: forget the screens and personalize your TV with photos or your favorite music
A good Samsung TV with a few worthwhile additions, such as HDR10 + or Ambient Mode. It is not as good as the Q80T models, but it is also cheaper. It does not have Direct Full Array (improves contrast and offers better blacks) or OTS for sound.
