A breath of fresh air to the world of desktop calculators. Who hasn’t had a Casio calculator with gray and black tones in their office? Now we have more options. The colors are very striking and give this model a modern look. The buttons are rounded and quite large. They all have the same color except C and AC.
There are no corners, all edges are rounded. The keyboard area is somewhat raised in front of the screen area.

Eye! The keys are quite flat and do not have that slight curvature that other models of office calculators present (similar to that of computer keyboards). Keep that in mind in case you don’t like these types of keys.
- FACT! The number 5 has a small handle that will help us locate all the numbers on the keyboard without looking.
Screen? It has a large 12-digit display where the numbers are shown quite large, perfect for seeing the figures at a glance and sideways.

The calculator remains fixed on the table thanks to its rubber feet and the inclination of the screen makes it very comfortable to see the screen without straining the neck, although the Casio MS-80VERII model has a greater inclination.
It has a solar panel and battery. It turns off automatically after 6 minutes. The battery lasts about 3 years, although using the solar panel you will probably reach 10 years and the calculator will still work. When it’s your turn to change it, you just have to remove two screws at the top.

The manual is very short and the truth is that the only interesting thing they have is the following: What adjust the tax rate you have to do the following (example): from 0% to 15%
- We press the AC button to turn it on
- Press the% (RATE SET) button until SET appears
- We offer 15% (RATE SET)
- We can check it by pressing AC and then Tax + (TAX RATE).
In the following graph you can see the main operations that can be performed with this model:

The price is very variable and depends a lot on the color … as always. Be careful. That is why we have tested this color in light green. It was the cheapest of all. It can vary from 10 to 16 euros. It depends if you find it on sale or not.

Do you want the pocket version? You have to go for the Casio SL-310UC calculator. It has dimensions of 8.4 × 70 × 118 mm and a weight of 50 grams. Smaller buttons and a white sleeve where you can put the calculator. It is really cheap and small.
Bottom Line: Is the Casio MS-20UC desktop calculator worth buying?
If you want an easy-to-use calculator, with large buttons and a certain screen tilt, this model is perfect. In addition, the colors that you can buy are very striking.
It has the function of changing the tax, it works with a battery and a solar panel and has a fairly moderate price. Perfect for adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
Eye! If you want to combine taxes and currency conversion you will have to go to the Casio DF-120TERII, the MS-120TERII or the MS-100TERII calculator. If you also want a rounding selector, you will have to choose the Casio DH-12TER calculator.
